Spain lifts ban on flights from Italy

Spain lifted a ban on flights and ships from Italy but retained a block on cruise ships and a two-week quarantine for all travellers from abroad along with the state of emergency.

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s government wanted the decree granting it exceptional powers to continue until the end of June.

Spain on Monday reported the lowest overnight death toll in two months, 59, up to a total of 27,709 deaths, with 250,000 cases.
