George Floyd death: New charges for all four Minneapolis police officers

Three US police officers named Thomas Lane, J. Kueng and Tou Thao were charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder. Chauvin was charged with a new, more serious count of second-degree murder.

“I strongly believe that these developments are in the interest of justice for Mr. Floyd, his family, our community and our state,” Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said.

George Floyd’s death has sparked huge protests across the US against racism and the police killings of black Americans.
