NATO Ministerial will be held in Brussels today

NATO foreign ministers will meet in Brussels today. The main topic of the ministerial meeting is preparation for the leaders’ meeting scheduled for December 4-5 in London. As NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said at a news conference in Brussels, NATO has grown stronger over the past 70 years, protecting more than one billion people, despite differences within the alliance. Stoltenberg says NATO is not going to deploy weapons into space.

Ministers will also discuss NATO’s role in the fight against terrorism. Alliance’s approach to Russia, China’s rise, energy security and future of arms control.

As NATO Secretary-General noted, NATO is the only forum that unites Europe and North America and can address strategic security challenges.
