More than 10,000 people took part in a demonstration in Brussels to protest violence against women. Local media reports.
At the start of the protest, organizers read the names of women killed in Belgium in 2019. Protesters symbolically ordered 21 pairs of red shoes on the road. According to Stop Femicide, so many women were killed in Belgium in 2019. The number of those killed in 2017 was 99.
Protesters called on the government to step up measures to prevent violence, help victims and punish perpetrators.
It should be noted that November 25 is the International Day against Violence against Women.
