Apple plans to hire more than 1,000 interns amid coronavirus pandemic

Apple in a statement to Axios said it plans to hire more than 1,000 people for a mix of online and in-person internships. Apple pledged to extend interns the same precautions and care it’s extending to all its other personnel as a part of the ongoing COVID-19 response.

Apple is confident they can provide work and pay to those expecting it. Apple has promisedfull pay to its employees, even if they are stuck at home and cannot provide their usual services. Part-time employees also were offered full health benefits. Even retail workers, when stores were open, received unlimited sick leave if they showed symptoms of coronavirus.
Apart from Apple, Amazon, Intel and Uber also plan to hire interns.
