Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said that said that if elected, he would direct the federal government to “bulk-purchase as many doses as necessary of the Covid-19 vaccine so we can provide it free to those who are uninsured, under-insured or Medicaid-eligible.”

“Once we have a safe and effective vaccine, it has to be free to everyone, whether or not you’re insured,” Biden said.

“COVID-19 surpasses anything we’ve faced in recent history and it shows no signs of slowing down,” he said, pointing out that “the virus is growing stronger in virtually every state” in the United States.
