British singer-songwriter Elton John has launched a $1 million coronavirus emergency fund to protect people who have HIV.
Sharing a video on Twitter, the 73-year-old singer said that the donation will be made through Elton John Aids Foundation.
In the video, the performer read out a statement to his 2.8million followers and explained how the fund will help those in need.
“Now and always, I’m committed to not leave anyone affected by HIV behind… Sending love to all of our Foundation’s partners, grantees, supporters, frontline workers and members of our community during this time,” John said in a video.
