Google adds additional rules for placing political ads that significantly complicate their targeting (targeting specific and targeted audiences). The company said in a statement.
Specifically, political advertising orientation will only be allowed on three signs: age, gender, and whereabouts of users.
Google will ensure that political advertising does not contain false or misleading information. However, the company will rarely involve advertising. Hereby Google is different from Facebook, it will check the validity of political ads to avoid interfering with politics.
What about Twitter, in late October it became known that political advertising on this social network was completely banned.
