Microsoft said the US government has granted its request for a licence to export “mass-market” software to Chinese telecom equipment maker Huawei.

Recently, the Trump administration had re-extended a general temporary licence which allows some rural American companies to work with blacklisted Huawei.

Nearly 300 firms have applied for individual licences to export components to Huawei.
