Princess Beatrice marries in private ceremony

UK’s Princess Beatrice, cousin of Prince William and the oldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, has married Italian property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a private ceremony attended by the Queen and close family in Windsor.

The wedding, which was to be held on May 29, was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The palace said in a statement: “The private wedding ceremony of Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi took place at 11am on Friday 17 July at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor.

“The small ceremony was attended by the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and close family. The wedding took place in accordance with all relevant government guidelines.”
