Russia registers world's first coronavirus vaccine, my daughter vaccinated: Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the country has developed the ‘world’s first’ coronavirus vaccine, country’s Health Ministry has given regulatory approval for COVID-19 vaccine.

“This morning, for the first time in the world, a vaccine against the new coronavirus was registered” in Russia, Putin said during a televised video conference call with government ministers. “The most important thing is to ensure full safety of using the vaccine and its efficiency.”

The Russian leader also said that one of his daughters has already been inoculated and is feeling well.

“One of my daughters got vaccinated, so in this sense, she took part in the testing,” Putin said.
