Trump asks reporter to remove mask during press briefing

President Donald Trump asked a reporter to remove his mask during a press briefing while asking a question.

Trump told Reuters reporter Jeff Mason that his face mask “muffled” his question.

“You’re going to have to take that off, please. Just, you can take it off. You’re, how many feet are you away?” Trump said.

“I’ll speak a lot louder,” Mason answered.

Trump said: “Well if you don’t take it off, you are very muffled. So if you would take it off, it would be a lot easier.”

Mason again offered to speak “a lot louder,” and raised his voice as he asked Trump “Is that better?”

“It’s better,” Trump said.
