U.S. reports more than 100,000 COVID-19 cases for 7th day

The United States reported a record number of new COVID-19 cases for the seventh day in a row on Tuesday, according to a Reuters tally.

The U.S. had reported at least 134,000 new infections by late Tuesday. The daily death toll stood at 1,450, the highest rise in daily deaths since August.

The country hit a record number of coronavirus hospitalizations on Tuesday.

The U.S. surpassed 10million total cases on Monday – the highest number in the world.

Joe Biden has already warned the U.S. is “facing a very dark winter.”
