Women wearing their wedding dresses stage protest in Rome for delayed weddings

Brides wearing their wedding dresses staged a furious protest by the Trevi fountain in Rome, Italy.

Around 15 women held white parasols and wore matching white face masks.

Placards read “give us back the freedom to celebrate, church doors closed to wedding, a dream limited by restrictions, unrestricted marriage”.

They also staged protests outside parliamentary buildings along with other industry businesses affected by lockdown, such as caterers, venue owners and musicians.
