Brazil reported an additional 904 coronavirus deaths and 27,075 new cases, data released by the health ministry showed late on Saturday. It also said that 10,209 patients had recovered.

The Latin American nation has reported the second-highest number of coronavirus cases and the third-highest number of deaths from COVID-19.

On Twitter, President Bolsonaro said “the cumulative data… does not reflect the moment the country is in” but did not explain why the information had to be removed or could not be released. He said additional measures were being taken to “improve the reporting of cases”.
