COVID-19 death toll worldwide has exceeded 195 000 – John Hopkins University reports. Since 31 December 2019 and as of 25 April 2020, 2 744 744 cases of COVID-19 have been reported. About 780 000 people recovered from the virus.
The countries mostly hit by the virus include U.S., Italy, Spain, France and Britain. The majority of these countries have already started lifting up restrictions imposed in an effort to curb spread of the virus.
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 pandemic in March.
