Paris bans takeaway food and drink delivery at night

Paris will ban food and alcohol delivery and takeaway services between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Friday to reduce the spread of the Covid-19.

The police prefecture said the sale and consumption of alcoholic drinks in public spaces would be banned at night starting on Friday.

France still registers more than 40,000 new daily coronavirus cases. President Emmanuel Macron imposed a new lockdown last month.

The country reported more than 1,601,300 covid-19 cases and more than 39,000 deaths.
