South Korea reports 457 COVID-19 cases linked to church

South Korean officials said that they’ve found 457 COVID-19 cases linked to a church in Seoul.

Outbreaks at the Sarang Jeil Church and elsewhere have pushed the country into “the biggest crisis yet” since the pandemic began, National Health Institute Director Kwon Jun-wook said.

The pastor, Jun Kwang-hun, who tested positive on Monday. Health officials have tested 2,500 of the church’s 4,000 members.

South Korea reported 245 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, raising its total for the last five days to 959.
