Thailand extends state of emergency to Nov. 31

Thailand’s cabinet agreed to extend a state of emergency until the end of November, a government spokesperson said.

The extension comes amid the protests in the country calling for the ouster of Thai PM Prayut Chan-o-cha and reforms in the monarchy. Thailand has confirmed 3,759 coronavirus infections and 59 deaths.

Thailand recently received a group of foreign visitors for the first time since a ban on commercial flights was imposed in April.
