Turkey has announced its first case of the novel Covid-19.
The patient was a Turkish national who had recently returned from Europe, the health minister Fahrettin Koca said at a press conference.
The infected, his family and others who had come into contact with him were currently in quarantine, Koca said. The health minister did not provide any more details.
The global death toll from coronavirus is over 4,000, with more than 113,000 confirmed cases in 110 countries, according to the World Health Organisation.
